Angelina Ramirez

Angelina Ramirez (she/her) is from Chicago, IL, and began her training with Extensions Dance Company under the direction of Lizzie MacKenzie. She attended summer programs with Hofesh Shechter, b12, Nederlands Dans Theater, Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Program, Jenn Freeman Performance Project, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and Houston Ballet. In 2019 she was named a YoungArts Silver Award Winner in Contemporary Dance. At the Juilliard School, she performed works by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, Yue Yin, Camille A. Brown, Jamar Roberts, Sidra Bell, and Caili Quan. Angelina is eternally grateful to her family who have helped her every step of the way. She would also like to thank Risa Steinberg for supporting her since they met at YoungArts Week in 2019.
